We’re based in Newcastle, Australia and decided to open the first Bitcoin only online bookstore to help support the local circular Bitcoin economy. We felt like Australia and the world more broadly needed an online bookstore that accepted only Bitcoin and was enthusiastic about Satoshi’s liberating innovation . We hope to work together with the rest of the Bitcoin community to enable bitcoin payments for every possible product or service. We hope to allow Bitcoin advocates to jump into Bitcoin and never have to leave for Fiat again.
Bitcoin and the Lightning Network helps us to facilitated this ideal by allowing anyone anywhere to pay for books. We at Lightning Books believe that the soul longs for enlightenment and to hamper that deep desire with geographic or financial friction is to weight down our innate curious spirit.
